We booked for our anniversary to get away from a busy household. We were woken up at 7:30 with furniture dragging across the ceiling and constant banging on the ceiling/wall. There was construction in the room above us!!! We ended up having to move rooms to a down graded room with a smaller bed. It was inconvenient and disruptive. The desk lady was very apologetic and left us a bottle of wine ( which we don’t drink). We were then offered $20 off per night which was just insulting really so over all it was not great at all

Overall just a really nice stay. Nice that they had a variety of local coffee to try in the room and the bed was comfortable. Staff were really hel0ful and while we didn't use the gym it was nice that this was made available to us.

Not sure but we had loud noise I think coming from the A/C. At any rate it was disturbing. Otherwise great trip/stay.

The room was comfortable with a quiet heating system. The toilet paper just didn’t do the job. Fortunately, we brought our own. We expected a view of the water. We got a view of storage tanks.

Great location on the marina and inlet side of Tofino. Walkable to the shops. Comfortable rooms with balconies. We would definitely stay here again for the location and reasonable cost.

The Shelter restaurant in front of the hotel is incredible. We ate there for every supper and breakfast meal.

The shelter restaurant was amazing

The shower in the room was pretty gross with pink and black mold up the corners and the drain was dirty brown. And the balcony looked to not have been cleaned in years with dirt all over and green moss everywhere.

Our booking stated a ground floor room which is better for us but we were given a second floor room and there is no elevator there. There was nobody at the check out at 10:30 am (doors locked) so had to leave keys in the mail box. Therefore I could not check out the gift shop area before we left. Otherwise the hotel was fine and provisions were very nice....hot chocolate, body lotion, etc

Very nice overnight. Bathroom floor was cold, the bathroom fan would start for a couple of minutes, anytime we move in the bedroom. We had an issue with the Telus box, had to be unplugged and rebooted after trying other possibilities. There was no soap in the shower dispenser. Told the staff the following morning. Staff was cooperative. Overall, comfortable bed, clean, parking was easy, we would return.

The hotel and staff were wonderful. Room 308…just saying.

The restaurant on site “Shelter” not worth it. It gets good reviews, I suspect as a result of the location. However there are much better dinning options for the same price in Tofino.

The lack of view that I’d paid extra for. The view was of parking lot and float plane hangar. Not a great view of inlet at all! Shower stall in bathroom no bathtub.

Great location, close to everything. Rooms had balcony with beautiful views. Room was generally clean, but after a long season could use a deep clean(shower).

Big bonus! Having the Shelter restaurant by the water with just a trip down the stairs. Great food and drinks. ($5 local blonde beer for happy hour)

The cleaning people were great. One person at reception, an older woman, was terrific. The others at reception seemed to lack training.

We got a really small room and it had a terrible smell. I reported it twice before I could get anything done. They moved us to a better room after they came and smelled it themselves. We had already been there 2 nights. The small rooms you got for your sale are so tiny one can hardly get around one's luggage.

The first reception guy was less helpful to get our gift cert. and chocolates but then the second guy was great to bring them to our room. The room was large and a lovely view!
