We were just staying one night on our way through Kingston. We were really happy with our stay, the hotel was fresh and clean, staff were friendly. The breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel was impressive. I gave the location a 4, only because it is not downtown, although it is within 1 km of the Hwy401, so if that is your priority, it could certainly be a 5.

The staff is very friendly and attentive to any requests. We enjoyed both our stays at this hotel. Of note: The location on Princess St is good in terms of being near shopping, restaurants and Hwy 401 but it can be very busy so not a relaxing location if that's what people want.

Even I am Hilton Honor member, I have got the room 303 - terrible view with the graveled roof of the lobby annex and a huge HVAC equipment in front of the windows at 4 feet from the window. This mechanical piece was humming and rattling all night long.
No ventilation in the bathroom, it quickly gets full of fog when running the shower, and the stench remains when somebody uses the toilet.
The hot breakfast was between poor and average. Buffet style, with scrambled eggs strongly tasting of butter, a piece of processed meat, cereals, bread, waffles, coffee, tea etc.

Almost fell a couple of times in my room and seriously hurt myself. The culprit, the room floor is heavily sloping (Room 218). This was extremely dangerous and nerve wracking especially during the night when the room was dark. Will warn others to stay the heck out of this room or risk getting injured like I did. Horrible!!

Nice hotel, amazing staff, weird set up though, elevators are way away from front entrance, room was exactly as described, breakfast was amazing but unfortunately view from our room was of roof of hotel with noisy generator and the bed was very uncomfortable. the pool was nice, and the experience overall was good but glad we didn't pay more than we did for the experience we had.

Staff were amazing, best breakfast from a hotel but wish with ticket for breakfast you could choose what you want for the coupon total then pay the extra or just hand out seperate menu for what is included in the 60.00 voucher and give those without a voucher the full menu. It was hard for out of country tourists to understand menu limitations with waitress just screaming into google translate what they could or couldn't choose from. It was uncomfortable to watch and listen too during our breakfast. Our breakfast server was amazing; he gave us time and privacy to chat and enjoy our meal. and it was my best eggs benny breakfast ever. The Cannery does have very good food.

The location of the room I was in was terrible. I was on the first floor at the end of the hall right beside the doors that many staff would use to get between the two buildings. When I was trying to sleep there where people outside moving carts around so kept hearing that. In the morning samd thing as there was a maintenance room off that area as well so couldn't sleep in.
When I went to go have breakfast at the restaurant which was included in the package, was breakfast for two valued at up to $60. I was told the day before that a change was made and I could only get items on the menu which were under $19. That is unacceptable as I bought this package because it included breakfast.

This was our first Kingston adventure. We booked the Double Tree by Hilton through Travel Zoo, which is where we book almost all of our hotels through. The hotel is a little bit on the outskirts of town, but we found it was no more than a max 15 minute drive to all the activities we had planned!(which covienently and by surprise within a block or two from each other)! We will be back.

My first Double Tree by Hilton will not be my last. Check in was fast and easy, I missed the wonderful lady's name, but she was so nice, warm cookies offered at check in were a very nice touch( delicious too). This hotel was immaculate. Clean, smelled fresh, not like cleaning chemicals, we had a street facing room which was nothing special, looks like the area across the road may be up for development soon. The rooms are a bit small, but still spacious, very clean, bright. Lots of outlets. The bathroom has a large shower(no tub). The bed! Softer than im used to, but so comfy with large pillows and crisp sheets. We didnt get much pool time, our first night it was overrun by unruly children, and the second night we didnt even get in, also because there were too many kids. *all with adults supervising*. All in all we had a wonderful stay, thank you to the staff who clean and maintain this hotel, you're doing a phenomenal job, and thank you to the front desk ladies who made check in and check out easy,

It was really convenient to be able to connect to the hotel and book directly with Doubletree. The checking was easy, the complimentary warm cookies were a delicious treat, the room was comfortable and the included breakfast tasty. The only drawback was that at breakfast we were told we could only order 1 particular dish valued at $19 and could not substitute that dish and pay the difference, which we would have gladly done to get the breakfast we truly wanted.

Nicely renovated from the previous establishment, Gym is spacious and brand new equipment, but the stretching mat is not meant for yoga, and wish you could include at least two proper yoga mat in the future. Room is relatively small, bathroom is tiny. Sound proof is not the best as we can hear people above our room talking. Breakfast is a-la-carte, but wish it's buffet style. However, I'm satisfied with the stay overall.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel, with our pup! The entire hotel is very clean and the staff was great. Easy check in and check out. Rooms are spacious and there is a nice sitting area out back. Lots of space to walk a dog. The best part for us was The Cannery Restaurant! SO convenient, we did not have to drive into the downtown area again. The food was excellent, particularly the breakfasts. Appetizers were excellent! We did not have to wait for service at all. Very friendly waitstaff. Loved it!!

Great stay. The included breakfast was amazing and a la carte. The only negative was the early Sunday morning fire alarm. I guess they are having trouble with their ovens and it sets off the smoke alarms. It has happened several times lately, I was told. Otherwise, great stay, perfect location.

The hotel itself is great. It was super fast check in and check out. Rooms were clean (I booked 2 rooms), staff were helpful when needed and the overall experience was great.

The hotel was fantastic however the Cannery restaurant left a lot to be desired. We went Saturday night (arrival date) for dinner, food was great, dri is were perfect, service was non-existent. They were busy, however I waited over 30 minutes for my bill after asking for it. A dinner for 6 (4 adults, 2 kids) took over 2 hours, no apps, no dessert, just dinner. We went for breakfast the next morning, we did the buffet as that was what was covered with our voucher (was told credit to use, only works on bugfet) and foot was not great, server was overall rude and had to keep searching for her to get a coffee refill or the bill. Monday we did breakfast again, different server, same experience. Also take note, the kids menu... kids French toast, $12 and was 1 piece of French toast... the kids Cannery breakfast however is more food than my 10 year old could eat, so that was good. I will also add, the motel states in room dining available u til 10pm. I valled down to order a piece of cheesecake at 904pm, was told the kitchen is closed. I asked again as its just cheesecake and no cookong and it shows 10pm, they said bar serves drinks until 10 but kitchen closes at 9 amd they hung up. Stay at the hotel, but only eat at the restaurant if you can handle slow servide or horrible service at breakfast.

A few suggestions to give this a 5 star stay…provide blackout curtains, room did not have fan in bathroom, hallways were artic air conditioned, and not a great buffet breakfast variety. Could add yogurt, granola, fruit juices.
