Fr $8995—Rockies & Alaska: 19-day tour + $2500 flight credit
Two bucket-list trips in one: 11 nights in the Canadian Rockies, then a seven-night cruise to Alaska
Why We Love This Deal
Most Alaska cruises begin and end with a flight. This journey begins with 11 nights in western Canada. Victoria eases you in, with a visit to the famous Butchart Gardens. A ferry and the Sea-to-Sky Highway lead to Whistler. Next, the route heads north through Cariboo ranch country. Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, soars above the road to Jasper. Then the Icefields Parkway delivers a day of glaciers, waterfalls and turquoise lakes. Step onto the Athabasca Glacier aboard a giant Ice Explorer. A free day in Banff lets you wander, hike or ride the gondola. Lake Louise and Emerald Lake glow an almost impossible shade of blue. The Okanagan Valley's vineyards lead you back to Vancouver. Here, Holland America’s MS Koningsdam takes over for seven nights. The Inside Passage unfolds in forested islands and fjords, so keep watch for whales. Juneau, Skagway, and Ketchikan offer glaciers, gold-rush history, and totem poles. In Glacier Bay, massive tidewater glaciers often calve into the sea with a thunderous roar. Mountains, glaciers and the open sea: few journeys pack this much into 19 days.

Itinerary highlights
Your journey begins in Victoria, British Columbia’s charming capital, where colonial heritage meets a gentle pace of life. Explore the world-renowned Butchart Gardens, a former quarry transformed into a wonderland of colour, then tour Beacon Hill Park and the historic totem poles of Thunderbird Park.
A scenic ferry crossing and the spectacular Sea-to-Sky Highway lead to Whistler, host of the 2010 Winter Olympics. Stop to admire the thundering Shannon Falls along the way, then take an orientation tour of the alpine village.
The landscape changes dramatically on the road to Clearwater, as the Coast Mountains give way to the rolling ranch lands of the Cariboo region. This quiet town is the gateway to Wells Gray Provincial Park and its wild, untouched scenery.
Snowy Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, rises above the road to Jasper. Surrounded by towering peaks and flower-filled meadows, this mountain town is a haven for nature lovers, with an optional evening wildlife tour to spot elk, bears and moose.
Glaciers and waterfalls line the Icefields Parkway on the way to Banff. Ride a giant Ice Explorer onto the Athabasca Glacier, admire turquoise Peyto Lake, then enjoy a free day in town to wander, relax or ride the optional gondola.
Often called the most photographed scene in Canada, Lake Louise glows an almost impossible shade of blue beneath its glacier. Visit the cascading Bow Falls and Johnston Canyon on the way, with a stop at Moraine Lake when the season allows.
Following the historic route of fur traders and railway engineers, the road to Kelowna passes Emerald Lake, the Spiral Railway Tunnels and Rogers Pass. It ends in the sunny Okanagan Valley, famous for its orchards and vineyards.
Mountains meet the sea in Vancouver, the jewel of Canada’s west coast. Discover the totem poles of Stanley Park, the historic streets of Gastown and Chinatown, and walk high above the forest at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park.
Leaving Vancouver behind, Holland America’s MS Koningsdam sails into the Inside Passage, a labyrinth of forested islands and towering fjords. Keep watch from the deck for bald eagles, whales and porpoises.
Reachable only by sea or air, Juneau is Alaska’s remote capital, set at the foot of Mount Juneau. Explore the historic downtown or take an optional excursion to see the Mendenhall Glacier.
Wooden boardwalks and Victorian-era buildings in Skagway recall the Klondike Gold Rush. Discover the stories of the prospectors who once flocked here in search of fortune.
The highlight of the cruise is a day in Glacier Bay, a UNESCO-listed national park where massive tidewater glaciers often calve into the sea with a thunderous roar. A park ranger shares expert commentary as you look out for humpback whales, sea otters and seals.
Known as the Salmon Capital of the World, Ketchikan is rich in Native Alaskan heritage. Browse the colourful shops of Creek Street, built on stilts over the water, and admire the town’s impressive totem poles.
A final day cruising the Inside Passage returns you to Vancouver, where your journey ends after a farewell dinner on board and a last breakfast at sea.
