About the itinerary

Day 1: Head to Port Melbourne to board the Azamara Pursuit!

Day 2: Today, you'll be sea cruising north toward Sydney. Settle into your cruise and discover the world-class service Azamara is known for.

Days 3-5: Settle into a two-night stay in Sydney. While here, you could explore the iconic Sydney Opera House, take a ferry ride around the stunning Sydney Harbour or soak up the sun at Bondi Beach.

Days 6-7: Enjoy two days of sailing toward New Zealand.

Day 8: Today, you'll sail into the incredible Milford Sound. Expect to see Majestic granite peaks, serene waters and untouched wilderness. 

Day 9: Today, discover Dunedin. While here, you could explore the historic Larnach Castle, take a scenic drive along the Otago Peninsula, or visit the world's steepest street, Baldwin Street.

Day 10: Immerse yourself in colourful Christchurch today. You could visit the picturesque Botanic Gardens, take a punt ride on the Avon River, or explore the vibrant street art scene.

Day 11: This morning, you'll arrive in beautiful Wellington. There are endless sites to enjoy in this city. You could explore the interactive exhibits at Te Papa Museum, ride the iconic Wellington Cable Car for panoramic views of the city, or wander through vibrant Cuba Street for shopping and dining experiences.

Day 12: Experience the enchantment of Picton today. You could stroll along the picturesque Picton Foreshore, visit the Edwin Fox Maritime Museum to learn about the area's maritime history or hike the Queen Charlotte Track for stunning views of the Marlborough Sounds.

Day 13: Journey through beautiful Napier today. You could discover the Art Deco architecture on a guided walking tour, taste the renowned wines of the Hawke's Bay region on a winery tour or relax on the scenic beaches of Marine Parade.

Day 14: Embrace the beauty of Gisborne today. You could explore the Eastwoodhill Arboretum, a vast collection of trees and plants from around the world, visit the Tairawhiti Museum to learn about the region's history and culture or take a surf lesson on the famous surf breaks of Gisborne.

Day 15: Discover Whangarei today. You could visit the stunning Whangarei Falls, wander through the Town Basin waterfront precinct or dive or snorkel at the renowned Poor Knights Islands.

Day 16: Today, you'll sail into the stunning Bay of Islands. This picturesque maritime playground in New Zealand is known for its spectacular natural beauty, historic sites, and abundant water-based activities such as cruising, fishing, and kayaking.

Day 17: Today, you'll arrive in Auckland, also known as the City of Sails, due to its large number of boats and yachts. You'll be transferred to your hotel for the evening. While in Auckland, you could see the vibrant waterfront precinct of Viaduct Harbour, hike to the top of Mount Eden for panoramic city views, or visit the Auckland War Memorial Museum to learn about New Zealand's history and culture.

Day 18: Today, you'll be transferred to the airport to meet your flight back to Australia.
