Boutique cruising and three great voyages in one: the Pacific coast, the Panama Canal and the Amazon

Why We Love This Deal

Pacific coast or Caribbean? Panama Canal or Amazon? Do it all with this 52-night voyage from Vancouver to Miami. The diversity of the Americas takes centre stage, with every stretch revealing something different. Explore over 20 ports across 13 countries and territories aboard the 670-passenger Regatta. Spend an overnight in San Francisco, then discover Acapulco's legendary cliff divers. Watch the Panama Canal's locks carry your ship between oceans before island-hopping through the Caribbean. Then the journey changes completely. Cross the equator and venture deep into the Amazon, where June brings high river levels. Spend an overnight in Manaus, home to a magnificent opera house, and discover Alter do Chão's unexpected white-sand beaches. Several holidays' worth of experiences, all in one voyage.

Itinerary highlights

Snow-capped peaks rise behind Vancouver's glittering harbour, where your journey begins with a night in a hotel. Stroll the seawall around Stanley Park, wander cobbled Gastown and graze your way through Granville Island’s market before boarding Regatta.

The aroma of fresh coffee drifts through Seattle's streets, the Emerald City. Watch fishmongers toss their catch at Pike Place Market, then ride up the Space Needle for views across Puget Sound.

History runs deep in Astoria, the oldest American settlement west of the Rockies. Its Victorian houses climb the hillside above the Columbia River, and a local pub serves fish and chips straight from the boat.

Sail beneath the Golden Gate Bridge into San Francisco, where an overnight stay lets you see the city by day and by night. Ride a cable car over its famous hills, tour Alcatraz and eat your way through the largest Chinatown outside Asia.

Sunshine and an easy coastal charm define San Diego. Lose yourself among the gardens, galleries, and Spanish-style architecture of Balboa Park, or board the USS Midway aircraft carrier museum.

Desert meets ocean at Baja's tip in Cabo San Lucas. Take a boat out to El Arco, the striking natural rock arch, or spend the afternoon on Playa El Medano with a margarita in hand.

Glamour and sunshine collide in Los Angeles, from the Venice Beach boardwalk to the boutiques of Rodeo Drive. As night falls, head up to the Griffith Observatory to watch the city lights spread to the horizon.

Fish tacos were born in Ensenada, so this is the place to try the original. Afterwards, venture into the nearby Guadalupe Valley, Mexico’s leading wine region, for a tasting among the vines.

Cobbled streets, golden beaches and jungle-clad hills frame Puerto Vallarta. Walk the Malecón waterfront past its bronze sculptures, then browse the markets for silver and handicrafts.

Deep blue Pacific waters make Manzanillo a magnet for ocean lovers. Snorkel, kayak or head out to sea with your camera ready for passing whales.

Legends of Hollywood’s golden age still linger in Acapulco, set on a sweeping bay. Watch in awe as the La Quebrada cliff divers plunge 40 metres into the churning sea below.

Volcanoes tower over the Guatemalan coast at Puerto Quetzal. An optional excursion leads to UNESCO-listed Antigua, with its pastel colonial buildings and crumbling baroque churches.

Rainforest and cloud forest lie within reach of Puntarenas, Costa Rica’s Pacific gateway. Optional excursions include treetop treks, coffee plantation tours, and a visit to the artisan town of Sarchi, famous for its painted ox carts.

One of the world’s great engineering feats unfolds around you as Regatta transits the Panama Canal. The ship rises through its locks between two oceans as the rainforest of Soberanía National Park slips by along the banks.

Bougainvillea spills over the balconies of Cartagena, Colombia’s colourful walled city. Wander its cobbled lanes, step back in time at the Palace of the Inquisition, or snorkel the coral reefs of the Rosario Islands.

Turquoise water and soft white sand set the tone in George Town, capital of the Cayman Islands. Wade with friendly stingrays at Stingray City, then unwind on the long stretch of Seven Mile Beach.

Cuban rhythms and Art Deco pastels give Miami its unmistakable energy. Sip a cafecito in Little Havana, then stroll South Beach's neon-lit boulevards.

Dutch heritage and Caribbean colour blend in Philipsburg, on St Maarten. Browse the shops of Front Street, zipline through the rainforest or find a quiet beach to call your own.

Volcanic peaks and emerald rainforest rise around Castries, St Lucia's capital. Sail the coast by catamaran to see the twin Pitons, or explore fishing villages with French and British roots.

Steel drums and spice-scented markets bring Port of Spain to life. Trinidad’s rainforests are home to hundreds of species of birds and 620 kinds of butterflies.

On the equator, the ship pauses at Macapa (technical call), where the Amazon begins to reveal itself. Settle in on deck as lush riverbanks and shimmering waters unfold around you.

Deep in the Amazon, Santarem sits where the river meets the clear Tapajós. Join an optional rainforest tour to spot dolphins, sloths and brilliantly coloured birds.

Rising improbably from the jungle, Manaus is a city of grand architecture and river trade. An overnight stay lets you visit the ornate Teatro Amazonas opera house and taste local specialties such as pirarucu fish.

Set on an island in the river, Parintins pulses with the spirit of Boi Bumba, its famous folk festival. The town’s colourful culture celebrates Amazonian traditions.

Powdery white beaches and clear green-blue lagoons have earned Alter do Chão the name ‘Caribbean of the Amazon’. Swim in the river, then explore the wildlife-rich Lago Verde.

Mahogany forests and white-sand coves await at Road Town, on the island of Tortola. Hike Sage Mountain for sweeping views across the Virgin Islands, then sail home to Miami.
