$11,799—Azamara: fjords to North Cape summer fly-cruise-stay
Sail the full length of Norway, from its western fjords to the North Cape, at the very top of Europe
Why We Love This Deal
Some Norway cruises show you the fjords, then head home. This 20-night journey keeps sailing north. Two nights in Edinburgh ease you in, with the castle and Old Town close by. Then Azamara Journey crosses the North Sea to Norway’s western fjords. Rosendal, Olden and Art Nouveau Ålesund set a dramatic opening scene. For most Norway cruises, this would be the turning point. Here, the journey is only getting started. Beyond the Arctic Circle, late July days stretch long and golden. Lofoten’s peaks rise straight from the sea at Svolvær. The same day, the ship slips between the sheer walls of Trollfjord. Tromsø, Alta and Harstad reveal a wilder, more remote side of Norway. Then comes the North Cape, Europe’s highest point. Heading south, Bodø, Trondheim and Kristiansund trace the rugged coastline. Painted wooden houses line Arendal’s harbour. Skagen, where two seas meet, adds a final Danish flourish. A night in Copenhagen brings the journey to a stylish close. Flights, hotels and an all-inclusive cruise make it remarkably easy to take.
Starting at $11,799 per person, we found that booking this 20-night fly-cruise-stay holiday yourself would cost up to $1729 more per person.

Itinerary highlights
Your journey begins with two nights in Edinburgh, where the castle crowns a skyline of medieval spires. Wander the Royal Mile and the cobbled lanes of the UNESCO-listed Old Town before boarding in nearby Leith.
Set on the shores of the Hardangerfjord, Rosendal is home to a 17th-century barony with romantic rose gardens. Mountains and waterfalls rise all around this peaceful village.
At the head of the Nordfjord, Olden opens the door to glacier country. Head inland to see the blue ice of the Briksdal Glacier tumbling down the mountainside.
After a 1904 fire, Ålesund was rebuilt in striking Art Nouveau style. Climb the steps to the Aksla viewpoint for sweeping views across the town and islands.
Red fishing cabins and jagged peaks surround Svolvær, the heart of the Lofoten Islands. Later that day, the ship glides into the narrow Trollfjord, where sheer rock walls rise on either side.
Known as the Gateway to the Arctic, Tromsø is northern Norway’s liveliest city. Visit the striking Arctic Cathedral, or ride the cable car for views over the islands and fjords.
From the fishing town of Honningsvåg, head out to the North Cape, where towering cliffs plunge into the Arctic Ocean. Stand beside the famous globe monument at Europe's northernmost point.
Thousands of prehistoric rock carvings make Alta a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its modern Northern Lights Cathedral adds a striking contrast.
History runs deep in Harstad, home to medieval Trondenes Church. The town sits among green islands and mountains in the far north.
Near Bodø, the Saltstraumen maelstrom churns with one of the world’s strongest tidal currents. The town is also a gateway to dramatic coastal scenery.
Colourful wooden warehouses line the river in Trondheim, Norway’s first capital. Visit the magnificent Nidaros Cathedral, the world’s northernmost medieval cathedral.
Built across a cluster of islands, Kristiansund has a proud seafaring history. It’s also close to the Atlantic Road, one of the world’s most scenic drives.
Painted wooden houses climb the hillside of Arendal, a charming town on Norway’s sunny south coast. Stroll the historic Tyholmen quarter and its harbour.
At Denmark’s northern tip, Skagen is where the Skagerrak and Kattegat seas meet. Its golden light has inspired artists for generations.
End your journey with a night in Copenhagen, one of Europe’s most stylish cities. Wander colourful Nyhavn and soak up the city’s design and dining scene.
