Maze restaurant was opened by culinary superstar Gordon Ramsay in 2005, and was promptly declared the "most exciting new restaurant of the year" by The Guardian. For just £48 per person, treat yourself to a 4-course dinner and a signature Maze cocktail at this Michelin-starred, world-class foodie destination this spring.
Choose any four tasting dishes from a selection of savoury and sweet options. The current spring menu offers a variety of mouthwatering dishes -- here's a selection of some of our favourites:
- Braised veal shin with rocket pesto and white onion risotto
- Loch Duart salmon with fondue of leek, vinaigrette of brown shrimps and horseradish
- Szechuan spiced Suffolk pork belly with edamame beans, pickled black radish and spring greens
- Hazelnut parfait with a pistachio meringue and cherry sorbet
- Summer fruit crumble with berry sorbet, elderflower mousse and granola
As an exclusive package for Travelzoo subscribers, Maze is lifting its usual restrictions, so that this tasting menu is available for dinner between 7-10.30pm, from Sunday to Thursday, right through until 31 August, 2011.
Beyond the deal
Located in Mayfair, overlooking Grosvenor Gardens, Maze is described as a "thrilling foodie destination" offering "dazzling flavours" by The Good Food Guide 2011, whilst this year's Michelin Guide gives it one star and praises its "small but expertly formed" and "innovative" cuisine.
A recent review by Time Out magazine praises this "glamorous" and "spacious" venue for its "classy line in cocktails" and "smooth, knowledgeable and friendly" service. Maze has also been awarded an impressive four AA rosettes and was named as one of the World's Top 100 Eating Experiences in the 2009 San Pellegrino World Restaurant Awards.
