Get two tickets for the price of one for a range of events at Sundance London, a film and music festival being brought to the UK by founder Robert Redford, and taking place from 26-29 April at The O2. Usually £11.50 each, tickets are available at half the regular price, with a 50p-per-ticket booking fee.
Founded by Redford, the Sundance Film Festival takes place annually in Utah, USA, premiering independent works from both emerging and recognised artists. Titles such as "An Inconvenient Truth" and "Reservoir Dogs" were introduced to audiences at the Sundance Film Festival, and now it is taking place in the UK for the first time, with Redford due to attend one of the screenings.
There will be 12 films receiving their UK premiere, two discussion panels and one special event available in the 2-for-1 offer. These include:
- "Under African Skies" -- A documentary following Paul Simon as he travels to South Africa for a concert celebrating the anniversary of his seminal album, "Graceland"
- "The House I Live In" -- Winner of the Grand Jury Prize for best US documentary at Sundance 2012, this investigates the effects of drugs on modern America. It has been tipped as "unmissable" by The Independent
- "Safety Not Guaranteed" -- Starring "24" actress Mary Lynn Rajskub, this comedy tells the story of a man looking for a suitable time-travel companion
- Special event: "Harmony" -- Narrated by HRH The Prince of Wales and including rare footage of his interview with Al Gore in 1988 about the potential effects of climate change. Robert Redford is due to attend this screening.
- Two panel discussions with experts from the industry
Films will be screened at the Cineworld multiplex at The O2 from 26-29 April, and aside from a one-off, per-transaction fee of £2.50, you will only pay £12.50 for two tickets to any one event -- that's including the per-ticket booking charges.
"Robert Redford's Utah film festival is the coolest in the calendar - and now he’s bringing it to The O2" -- Evening Standard
