The Deal

For £29, two people can eat a delicious 2-course meal at The Blue Mallard in Burscough. This package, which can be used through spring and into summer, usually costs up to £57.30.

The dishes are created using the finest local produce and change frequently depending on seasonal availability. Here's an example of what to expect:
-A large glass of either red of white wine
-Any starter from the à la carte menu, such as pan-fried scallops with caramelised chicory, cauliflower purée and garlic butter, or local game terrine with port, cranberry and redcurrant jelly and a herb crouton
-Any main course from the à la carte menu, such as chicken with fondant potatoes, roast shallots, broad beans, pancetta lardons and a Merlot sauce, or a Martlands Farm duck breast with braised cabbage, bacon, dauphinoise potatoes, a parsnip cone, parsnip purée and a port and honey jus

We have also negotiated the same package for four people for £55 -- saving 52% on the regular price.

Both deals can be used Monday 12pm-2:30pm, Tuesday-Thursday 12pm-2:30pm and 5pm-9pm, and Friday 12pm-2:30pm and 5pm-9:30pm.

Opened in February 2011, The Blue Mallard is in the Burscough Wharf -- a dining and leisure development which is a 25-minute drive from both Preston and Liverpool.
