Travelzoo subscribers can enjoy three courses from The Chef's Market Menu followed by petits fours and coffees for two. Choose from:
- Any two starters, such as Devonshire crab raviloli with sweetcorn purée, shellfish and aged cognac bisque, or ballotine of corn-fed chicken with wild mushrooms and toasted sourdough
- Any two main courses, like slow-braised belly of Gloucestershire pork served with caramelized apple, Lancashire black pudding purée and cider jus, or roast Cornish skate wing with olive purée, Cornish crab and broad beans
- Any two desserts, such as apple tart tatin with cardamom ice cream and caramel jus, or port-poached dried fruit with liquorice grapes and vanilla and sauternes syrup
Thackeray's occupies a Grade II-listed building that dates back to the 19th century. Its chef Richard Phillips was awarded his first Michelin star before the age of 29 and trained at London's world-famous Savoy Hotel. He has also made numerous television appearances on top foodie shows, such as "Ready, Steady Cook" and "Saturday Kitchen".
The award-winning restaurant has developed a reputation for excellence, and was crowned Kent's Best Gourmet Restaurant in 2009. The Independent on Sunday has described it as "one of the most charming and stimulating restaurants outside London", while the Observer notes its "culinary excellence".
This voucher is valid Tuesday-Thursday until 31 January, 2012 (excluding 1-31 December), from 6:30pm-10:30pm.
