The Small Print

This voucher is valid for a 3-course meal for two people, including any starter, any main course and any dessert each served with a glass of champagne each. A £2 supplement applies per person for the cheese board option. This voucher is valid for two people and must be used in one visit. A maximum of two vouchers may be used per table. Valid for lunch and dinner, Tuesday-Saturday, subject to availability, until 29 March, 2012. Excludes 1-31 December. Any additional items ordered will be charged at their usual value. Multiple vouchers may be purchased per person or as gifts. Reservations are required. Cannot be combined with any other offer. No cash value or cash back. Menu items are subject to change.

The Deal

Barda is praised in the Michelin Guide 2011 for its "simple, flavoursome dishes" while The Good Food Guide 2011 notes its "funky" and "sleek" décor. The contemporary Chelmsford eatery was a finalist in the Essex Food and Drink Awards 2010, and has received a glowing review for its "impeccable food" in the current Essex Food & Drink Guide.

For less than £20 per head, sip on a glass of champagne on arrival followed by any three courses -- an experience for two that would usually cost up to £85.

The menu incorporates international flavours with a modern twist. For example:

- Any two starters, such as antipasti of cured meats, olives, artichokes and crostini, or ham hock terrine served with a tomato and sweet pepper relish, baby leaf and wholegrain toast
- Any two main courses, such as chargrilled rib-eye steak with dauphinoise potatoes, French beans, shallot and red wine jus, or steamed Atlantic cod with chorizo, crushed new potatoes and braised fennel
- Any two desserts, such as lemon tart with chantilly cream and summer berries, or dark chocolate fondant

Barda is open from 12pm-2:30pm and from 6pm until late Tuesday-Saturday. This exclusive voucher is valid for the next six months.
