With a picturesque location on the edge of Dartmoor National Park in Devon, Lydford Country House occupies a beautiful Victorian property that dates back to 1850.

For £65, you can enjoy a sumptuous, 6-course tasting menu for two people and a glass of sparkling wine each at this rural hideaway. That's a fabulous saving of £65 on the usual cost.

Here's the new autumn-winter tasting menu, created using fresh, local ingredients:

- Roast pumpkin soup with kirsch cream
- Pan-fried scallops, black pudding, vanilla pomme purée, crispy pancetta, wholegrain mustard and passion fruit vinaigrette
- Honey-glazed pork belly served with chorizo sausage and haricot bean cassoulet
- Roast local partridge braised lentils, roast shallot, confit partridge cakes and cocotte potatoes
- Dark chocolate mousse with orange confit and coffee ice cream
- Selection of West Country cheeses, quince jelly and candied walnuts

Nestled within eight acres of well-manicured grounds, Lydford Country House was built by celebrated artist William Widgery in 1850. It's located just six miles from the charming market towns of Tavistock and Okehampton, and one hour from the South Devon and Cornwall coasts.

Its newly appointed head chef Hugo Gouveia has previously worked alongside Michelin-starred chef Michael Caines, and at the 5-star Hotel Endsleigh, awarded three AA Rosettes for culinary excellence.
