Situated 50km south of Munich, the hotel is close to scenic Schliersee lake, nearby ski resorts (offering alpine and cross-country skiing) and winter hiking trails. It has traditional, Bavarian style rooms and a range of leisure and wellness facilities. There's a swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, a sauna and a steam bath, while the Asian-inspired Karma Spa offers organic treatments and massages.

Getting there: The hotel is approximately one hour's drive or taxi ride from Munich airport. Trains run frequently from Munich's main station to Schliersee, taking around 55 minutes and costing around £10, each way.
