Hotel details
Hotel Reale is a traditional, family-run property on a quiet street in Montecatini Terme. It is just off the main piazza, a short walk from the historic spas.
300 metres above Montecatini Terme, you'll find the older hilltop village of Montecatini Alto. You'll get free tickets to ride up on the funicular train for a wine-tasting session. We recommend visiting the grand Terme Tettuccio Art Nouveau spa complex from May–October.
Montecatini Terme also makes a great base for exploring further afield. A rail trip to Florence is included—the journey takes around 90 minutes, each way.
Lucca, under 30 minutes away, is one of Tuscany's best-preserved Renaissance cities. Wandering its Medieval ramparts feels "just like stepping into an illuminated manuscript", says Lonely Planet.
