The latest issue of National Geographic Traveller says "Vietnam is embracing the 21st century with vigour", from the commercial maze of its largest city to its pristine beaches. See three very different sides of the country with this triple-centre holiday: at £1479 per person, it's £810 cheaper than usual, with sightseeing tours included.
Here's what you get:
The luxurious Hanoi Westlake has won a raft of awards, including the Best City Hotel at the TTG Asia Travel Awards in 2009. Set on the West Lake, the hotel is minutes from the city centre and has a spa, an outdoor swimming pool and three restaurants. From here you'll visit Halong Bay -- we've been and were impressed with the breathtaking beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Next, fly to Nha Trang for a week of beachside relaxation. The hotel has a 2012 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence and rooms all have views of the bay. Take a trip to the Thap Ba hot springs, visit the Cham temples (remnants of an ancient Indian civilisation) or try some bird's nest soup, a local delicacy known as the "caviar of the East".
Finish in bustling Ho Chi Minh City at the Liberty Central Hotel Saigon, which has a restaurant specialising in pan-Asian cuisine. The included tour takes in the Cu Chi tunnels, used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War, as well as the Cao Dai Temple, which is part pagoda, part cathedral and part mosque.
Depart on 6, 13, 16, 27 November; 4 December.
Departures on select dates from 4 January-28 June, 2013, are also available -- click here for more information.
Transfers are not included and are an extra £90 per person for all three destinations, in a private car.
