The definition of a 5-star hotel might be a bit vague in some countries, but there is no doubting the luxury credentials of the Hotel Sofitel Marrakech Lounge & Spa. Such quality usually comes with a forbidding price tag but, at an astounding £299 per person, Broadway Travel’s 4-night break at the hotel is priced more like a package holiday.

The price includes flights, bed-and-breakfast accommodation, a free hamman treatment per person and late checkout. We found the same package for up to £649 on other sites. Guests will stay in a Deluxe Room, all of which feature a marble bathroom with L'Occitane toiletries, and a balcony overlooking the landscaped gardens.

Travel from London Stansted on 29 April; 10 June; 8 July; 2, 9 September; from London Luton on 20, 27 June; 11 July; 8 August; and from London Gatwick on 24 September; 1, 7, 9, 12, 16, 22 October.

The hotel is in an ideal location in Marrakesh, within easy reach of must-see sights including Djemaa El-Fna (the market square in the Medina) and the Menara Gardens. After a day taking in the local culture, guests can relax in the large outdoor swimming pool, gym or spa**. There is an organic restaurant and a gourmet eatery with views of the Atlas Mountains.
