The Deal
Retreat to an upscale log cabin at the Three Bars Guest and Cattle Ranch with this exclusive three-night package for two people, including meals, for $699. Regularly $1,260, this deal is available on Sunday and Wednesday arrivals May 6 - June 9 and Sept. 9 - Oct. 13.
Located just south of Banff National Park, the ranch is just one of three nationwide approved by the Dude Ranchers Association. Activities and amenities include hiking trails, a petting zoo, a campfire pit, tennis and volleyball courts, an indoor heated pool, an outdoor Jacuzzi and horseback riding (at an extra charge). The resort is surrounded by some of the top golf courses in Canada.
Log cabins feature a queen bed, full private bath, sitting area, covered porch, sun chairs and refrigerators. Daily housekeeping and full linens are provided.
Enjoy home-cooked meals, ranging from BBQ steak cookouts to traditional Mexican cuisine, and the convenience of complimentary Internet, free parking and access to a fitness centre.
The Calgary airport is 4.5 hours away and the Vancouver one is a 10-hour drive. From the States, Glacier Park International Airport in Kalispell, Mont., is 2.5 hours away, and Spokane International is a four-hour drive.
