Zagat praises Fleuri Restaurant in downtown Vancouver for its "very good to excellent" food (24), "hospitality" and indulgent chocolate buffet. Two can dine on the restaurant's specialty five-course Lobster, Beef & Chocolate dinner for $65, regularly $130.
Located in the CAA 4-Diamond Sutton Place Hotel Vancouver, Fleuri "has the atmosphere of a posh manor" according to Yahoo Travel. The menu for the restaurant's Lobster, Beef & Chocolate extravaganza changes weekly to feature seasonal items, and an example of what you might expect includes:
• An amuse bouche
• Tomato and horseradish marinated lobster with hon shimeji salad, French breakfast radish and licorice herbs
• Jumbo scallop and porcini mushrooms with celeriac puree, curried lobster bisque and clamato "meringue"
• Beef tenderloin and pom pom mushrooms with scalloped potatoes, legumes and diablo jus
• Chocolate buffet, filled with cakes, pastries and pies, sorbets, ice creams and made-to-order crepes -- "out-of-this-world," says Zagat
