We were absolutely impressed with the staff. Dining was a pleasure and the dining hall space is inviting and rustically authentic. The location is lovely and the grounds are expansive offering lots of room to explore.

We found the buildings were badly in need of repair - a lot of wood rot is evident around windows etc. Also, the chalets are dark and poorly lit. Improved lighting would help a lot!

We stayed in cabin 11. Although very clean…it is lacking any type of storage it would be helpful to have a hook at least in bathroom to hang something on

Not many vegetarian options on menu. Long hall up the hill with luggage.

Lovely spot, with lots of things to do while you're there. Food was excellent, and staff very friendly. Rooms could do with a bit of a refresh, and some better lighting.

Overall, very good
Other Comments
Rooms could use a few more amenities - chest of drawers (for folded clothes), small table or desk, more electrical outlets, towel racks in the bathroom.

The cottage was very outdated and needed of some mahout repairs and deep cleaning. We left a day earlier. Food was also very disappointing, the staff on the other hand was very helpful and attentive

Friendly staff, dining room view was lovely. The corn chowder was excellent. Breakfast buffet was excellent
Other Comments
Definitely not geared to old folk - uneven walkways, stairs down to swimming pool, odd steps into main lodge. Steep stairs into some accommodations. Entrance carpet to our cottage was dirty. Bathtub was very difficult to climb in to and was damaged. The decaf pod coffee was awful, but very good decaf in the main lodge. The dinner menu was the same each night, although a special was offered one night. The steak dinner was very, very chewy. The dog relief area was right between two cottages - not very nice for those occupants. No mention was made at all about the spa facilities other than telling us there was a sauna which they would prepare if we wanted to use it.

We enjoyed a two nights stay, a package we bought through Travelzoo. We wished we had time to stay longer. The cottage resort is kept clean and orderly with enough personnel. It is a cottage resort, so we did not expect luxury, but decent cottage living accomodation. And this is what we got! A large room, nicely furnished, very clean and with all the necessary amenities, plenty of towels for the bathroom (missing hooks or towel bars for them though) and for the beach, a lovely restaurant with meals that we enjoyed, a beach cared for, plenty of equipment to use on the lake, even a spa where we had an excellent massage, and a quiet view of the lake that still lingers with us... We noticed the visit of some geese on the lawn, and we were appreciative of the work done by the personnel to clean after them! In the reception house, two rooms are to be used by guests to watch TV, videos, or play games. It is remarkable how well maintained and managed the property is. The service by all personnel is outstanding, always with a smile on the face. If you do not mind sharing the common place with other people, and do not want to bring your food and cook on your vacation, this is a great place to be in Muskoka

We loved this great little resort. Incredible value with nice accommodations, big buffet breakfast and lots of dinner options with 3 course meal. Beach and lake was fabulous. We used the canoe and paddle boat. Outdoor games including corn hole and bonfire at night. Loved the wood burning sauna and pool. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and staff amazing. And our two dogs had fun too!
