While the hotel was a great location and the pools were nice, we were quite disappointed by the state of the rooms and hallways... even in the "new" West Tower, the hallways seemed very old and dirty, windows were stained and filthy, as was the carpet. Our room was okay, but also wasn't cleaned very well, bathtub was stained and one of the chairs on the balcony was cracked down the middle and unsafe to sit in. We also had some very grumpy-acting staff members who came across like they were bored/miserable and didn't like their jobs, and it just didn't give the type of "vibe" that we had hoped for or expected for what's supposed to be the best place to stay at Harrison.

The hotel had a DJ party at the pool. We were notified less that 2 weeks before our stay. The party was from 4:30 - 10:00pm. We couldn't use the pools during this time as the music was horrible. They also closed the Copper Room due to the pool party. They changed our reservation to the cafe with the promise that it was just like the Copper Room. It wasn't even close. The food menu was limited and the choice of wines was 2 white or two red all low end. It took 45 minutes to get a drink and 1 1/2 hours for the food which was lukewarm when we got it.

It was good however our friend who also wanted to use the pools couldn’t as we were only provided 2 pool bands. He would have paid for a pool use but was told he would have had do upgrade the room to much larger.

We did enjoy the pool from 7pm to 10pm and our son loved the pool party that was going on. The lake, and walkable amenities were beautiful, and only wish our experience with the hotel had been positive.

We stayed from August 24–25 for just one night, hoping to check out the resort as a potential replacement for our family’s annual trip to Great Wolf Lodge in the U.S. We wanted to support Canadian destinations — but this experience has ensured we won’t be back.
Check-in was supposed to be at 4:00 p.m. We arrived at 4:15, waited over an hour in line, and then another 2.5 hours before our room was finally ready at 6:50 p.m. During that entire wait, no staff member offered to take our luggage, suggest we use our food voucher, or even point us toward the pool to make things easier. Instead, my family — including our 8-year-old — sat in the crowded lobby during dinner time.
When I raised this with the manager on duty, he assured me that our room would be comped due to the unacceptable delays. I explained it was a Travelzoo voucher, and he told me he’d “figure it out.” The next morning at checkout, no one knew anything about this promise. Staff kindly offered to cover breakfast, but we were already leaving early to catch a ferry, so that was of no help. I was told someone would follow up with me — but no one ever did.
At best, this shows a shocking lack of communication between staff and management. At worst, it feels like promises were made just to get me out of the manager’s hair with no intention of following through.
We had hoped Harrison Hot Springs could become our new family tradition, but instead we left frustrated, disappointed, and misled. I would not recommend this resort based on our experience.

Good stay over all. Food and drink were of a good standard. Indoor pools were our favourites. Resort staff need to make an effort to control kids jumping in the indoor pool, which is meant to be a quiet space.

We loved the pool party this past weekend ; we loved the happy hour and the food was good ; a large firepit with seating around would be so nice at night ; pool accessories for kids all the time like they had for pool party

Not enough loungers by pool , when I have been years ago the pool was surrounded by loungers and now the sold out hotel guests have to fight for one ; pillows in room need replacing ; carpets in room and hall badly need replacing ; the bar should be turned into a restaurant so families with kids can get something to eat late since kids are always in pool ; proper pool bar service so you don’t have to leave pool to go get food; more staff so I don’t have to wait almost 4 hours for a room ; the pool towels should be by the pool not at the front desk

We had a nice visit in Harrison. The resort itself has become very dated and could use some TLC in the rooms and hot pool area. However we did enjoy our stay as the area is beautiful. May not chose to stay at the resort though. The Travelzoo promo made it worth the one stopover to end our long roadtrip.

loud pools, lukewarm only, wish there was a place for quieter relaxation for adults only (the adult pool was next to the kids pool still so it was loud), expensive dining.
Our room was definitely showing its age. The whole building was showing is age - peeling floor trim, unwashed windows in hallways, rusting drain in shower.

The check-in was supposed to be at 1500, so we actually arrived right on time, basically at 1455. When we arrived, only one of our two rooms was ready and they said the 2nd one which was right next door was currently being cleaned and would be ready shortly, they said that they would call me on my personal cell phone when it was ready for me to check into. I didn't think this was ideal but I was giving them the benefit of the doubt. However when we went upstairs to all change in the one room, we saw that the second room hadn't even started to be cleaned yet. At that time I didn't make any fuss.
By 1700, I was starting to get frustrated with no call back for the room as of yet so I went back to the front desk to see if they forgot to call me back as of yet, and they advised that the room still was not ready yet. At this time I advised them that we had a reservation inside their fancy restaurant called the Copper Room at 1800, and we wanted enough time to get ready for sinner. They told me that they would have the room ready as soon as possible.
Part of the voucher was supposed to include a $25 dining credit per voucher, at this restaurant.
At 1730, I still did not receive a call back so I went back to the front desk and after back and forth for about 5 minutes they finally gave me the room card key. I just felt like this company doesn't care about the customer at all and not having a room ready until 1735 is completely unacceptable.
After this we finally got to our reservation at the restaurant inside the hotel. Part of the voucher was supposed to include a $25 dining credit per voucher at this restaurant. When I went to pay, they had to bring the manager over to deal with the $25 dining credit, and he didn't even know about it and had to bring up my phone and read the whole voucher before he even considered it. Then he asked me to email him the vouchers. After I emailed him them I noticed he went to the phone and I automatically assumed he called the front desk or Travelzoo to verify and deal with it, this took a long time to deal with as well.
After dinner I was super frustrated with everything and went back to the front desk and explained everything in detail with the front desk and I was told that the manager would call me that night, and of course he didn't.
The following morning I went back and I said I thought that the manager will call me, he finally ended up calling me the next morning around 11:00 a.m.
The management did provide a late check-out of 1230 and comped our breakfasts the following morning, however I just totally feel that this level of service is completely unacceptable for the quality of the hotel.
This is just my personal thought but I believe it is due to the fact that the new offshore owners are trying to cut costs at every opportunity and the lack of staff that they are hiring is really showing. They don't have enough staff to clean the rooms and deal with the kitchen in the high-end restaurant.

Very few staff at front desk so any time you had to contact front desk was a trial. The first day we needed ice and I went to 2 different floors to find the ice machines broken. I phoned down to front desk and received a recording saying our call was important to them etc. but never got a response. Finally I had to go down to the front desk in person and spoke with the abrupt concierge who didn’t seem to care that 2 ice machines were down but did direct me to the main floor machine which was working.
There was also a chaotic situation on checkout with long lines so I did the express checkout filling out a form. When my invoice was sent by email I saw that the $25 per night food credit was not applied. I have been phoning daily since then and leaving messages and haven’t gotten a response from the resort. No answer at the front desk either.

The pools are great, we really enjoyed the pools and the food at the restaurants is good. The hotel room is dated and needs to be refurbished but it was comfortable enough to enjoy the weekend. The luggage arts are locked and can take a while to get bell service which really hampers the check in/check out process. We did use the bell service on the check and it took a long time to get a representative because he was so busy. He was really nice and very helpful. Some of the staff at the front desk seemed to be overwhelmed at times. Parking is very limited and extremely hard to get a parking spot when we were there the entire weekend. The restaurant in the main lobby waitress would not serve out kids before we received out food, which was not cool at all. She was not the friendliest, so we did not go back there. The servers in the main restaurant, the Copper Room were excellent. Took a long time for the main course to be served.

We have 2 separate bookings, made through you at the same time. One was for June 29/20 at a rate of $179, while the next 2 days, July 1/2 was based on a higher rate of $199 . Your review questions are based on a theoretical checkout today, July 1st. The "Poor" comment about staff and service relate to our not having had any room service since we arrived on June 29. This morning we were advised by the Operator that room service was scheduled for today. I earlier spoke to housekeepers on our floor who said we were not on the list. At about 2.30 pm. the bellman with his trolley knocked and said he was scheduled to take our luggage downstairs. I said that was incorrect, and showed him the notice card fastened to the door handle outside facing the corridor, and he said he would immediately advise housekeeping. At 3.15, as a housekeeper had not shown up, I called the Operator and after more than 20 repeats of a message " Your call is very important to us. Please await the next operator" I had a live operator respond. Somewhat sarcastically I said I hoped that I was more important than my call, and that we just needed service, as we had no dry towels, no coffee etc., and she said she would immediately speak to housekeeping. It's now 3.45 and still no service.
