The location was great as we attended a tournament at the conference centre. The room was obviously redesigned to include a kitchenette but really lacked practical amenities such as convenient outlets. It was also very crowded to accommodate the kitchenette. I am not sure if I would stay again or recommend it. If one knows the drawbacks, it is good value with the Travelzoo voucher. Without the discount I would not stay.

The room we got had what they call a queen size bed in it, when it really is only a double bed. Upon walking into the room, there was a very strong chemical smell, such as one would find after there had been someone smoking in there, and they cleaned it. We opened the window to allow fresh air in, and turned on a fan that was in the room, to help change the air. This odor triggered a serious migraine for my wife, overnight. This forced us to leave the next morning, and not stay the second night. It turns out they had reglazed the bathtub in the unit, but failed to inform us of this action. thus the very strong chemical presence in the room. They did apologize and offer a room credit for one night another time, but I declined, as we have no desire to go back.

Perfect location, ideal for exploring downtown and inner harbour. Also in great proximity to Black Ball Ferry. Room clean, comfortable bed with crisp linens. Older hotel so walls a little thin, but to be expected. Staff very pleasant.

Location was excellent, near waterfront and it was a good deal to stay in downtown Victoria and parking was free/included which was nice!

Room was very small and felt crowded. Not enough staff at Front Desk. Only one person was available when we checked in and there was a sign that they were away, so there ended up being about 5 parties waiting for the person to return before we could all check in. Also, no dishwasher in the room, every other hotel we've stayed in with a kitchenette has had a dishwasher so we had to hand wash dishes before leaving. And we washed before using dishes too as who knows how they were washed by the guests before us (some dishes weren't clean). Having a dishwasher sanitizes dishes at least. Miss have breakfast included as is with some of the other hotels in the area. Nice to have coffee/tea in the lobby, would be nice to have water as well and maybe powdered hot chocolate packets for the kids.

First of all, the staff were amazing, very attentive and professional. The hotel is in an excellent location, right in the inner Harbour with a very good restaurant and bar and a gorgeous patio. It is not high end, not quaint or boutique, and it does cater to sports teams. In terms of a value hotel, it is perfect!!

The trim was extremely small and hot, we had to have the window opens and a fan on at all times even overnight. The hot tub was not heated. We had to run back up to our room to get in a hot shower just to warm up.

We had a nice king size bed on a corner suite facing the inner harbor. We could see the lights of the Empress hotel and the parliament buildings and the fireworks from the bed at midnight on New years Eve. Was special. Had a bar and a diner on the main level so very convenient to eat as I had a cast on.

A solid three star hotel. Rooms are neat and clean and fixed up but this is definitely an older hotel. Would not want to stay here in the summer unless you like to party. The bar would keep you up !

Free parking and a free bottle of wine. Rooms are nice. Short walk to downtown along the beautiful inner harbour, Belleville’s restaurant & pub are great! Across the street from the Coho Ferry. We are locals & buy a Day’s Inn voucher every chance we get! Stayed at the hotel last week & are using another voucher in April..

Nice older hotel - although the elevator is tiny and bounces a bit! Good value for the money. If ours was any example, though, management should check the bathroom doors and repaint if required. Staff were amazing.

We found the restaurant downstairs expensive, and I was not impressed with the additional 'tax' to cover expenses resulting from Covid. However, I understand the restaurant is not affiliated with the hotel.

The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. From booking the room by email, to checking in, and with Eshu communicating via text msg to make sure everything was going well with our stay, we had a seamless and enjoyable experience. The room (two double beds with kitchenette and harbour view) was perfectly functional, updated, and clean. Our only surprise was the step up into the bathroom, but we quickly got used to it. I would recommend a motion-activated light on the step though - night time bathroom visits with a step could be hazardous.
We stayed on St. Patrick’s day (a Friday) and were concerned the noise from the restaurant below would be a problem, but the crowds quieted shortly after 10 and didn’t affect our sleep.
The internet was spotty so we weren’t able to stream a movie on our device.
With two adults in this room (403), we were perfectly comfortable. Any more people in the room would be a tight squeeze.
We would definitely stay here again. The location (a few minutes walk from Parliment, 10 minutes to the shops and restaurants on Governments) can’t be beat. The outdoor pool, when it’s open, looks inviting, too.

We booked through Travel Zoo which led to some complications. The room was clean, and quite well appointed. The cost of the room was very reasonable. The staff were helpful. However, the parking lot was very cramped and the meals at the attached restaurant were quite expensive.

Did not have a waterfront room so they gave us another room with a king size bed but it was a bad day overall The parking was above ground and free that was awesome! And the staff were very friendly. But the pool and the hot tub were closed for the season when all of the other hotels around it were open! And they did not put it on their website so I assumed and brought my bathing suit. I was very disappointed as I look forward to the amenities that the whole tell stated they have!!

Our room without the heat on was 24° it was so hot we had to sleep with our windows open and all we heard was noise all night and all day and it was right by the boiler room which was noisy. Also at the time of our booking they Did not have a waterfront room so they gave us another room with a king size bed but it was a bad day overall
