The massage was awkward and unpleasant. The lady could barely speak English and I did not understand her well. Furthermore, she was way too tough, and rubbed too hard. Also, the manicure was really poor of quality. Directly after she was finished, the lady almost run out of the room, while the nailpolish on my nails was ruined. I immediately took it off my nails once I got home. Also, the scalp massage is not supposed to be with nails in your head I suppose? Absolutely not pleasant at all. The lady also did not try to make me feel comfortable at the Spa, I felt really awkward.

The entrance and office area of the spa could be upgraded to more accurately reflect the nice decor and experience inside.

I start by saying I have been to many high end spas in the GTA and spa Zen although the facility was ok the services offered were very basic. The same woman performed the facial, massage and scalp massage. The facial was not even comparable to other spa facials I have had, it was basically someone that put cream on my face and wiped it off with a warm towel. The room was absolutely freezing even with the heating pad on my bed. The bed was on a decline so much so the blood was rushing to my head. I couldn't figure out why my head was hurting until I looked at the bed when I got up and realized the position the bed was in. There was so much more but way too much to type. Overall, I would not recommend this spa nor go back for a second visit. I am not a picky person nor a complainer. I am the type of person to delete these response to service emails but I wanted to share the service I received at spa Zen. Hopefully others have a better experience!

Their hot tub/ waiting area is really nice. The staffs were friendly.

I knew that the masseuses are not RMTs, But I had a higher expectation for the massage. It was more like rubbing than a massage. I found the massage room cold even though there was a hot pad on the massage bed. I didn't like the products they used for facial because if it's smell (it was very strong). Lastly, the towel that they cover the headrest of the massage bad smelled pretty bad too.
