We really enjoyed everything about out tea
I hosted my two adult daughters and sister in law and it was such a nice treat from busy lives
We all live north of the city about a hour away but it was well worth the trip as everything was first class

There were several savouries (loved the mini quiche and the smoked salmon sandwich). The 2 kinds of scones were fresh and warm. A nice variety of sweets. A very extensive selection of teas. Beautiful setting.

The experience was exquisite! The lovely young lady at the concierge desk helped me apply the coupons before our guests arrived. They gave us a perfect, private table for 4 and treated us like royalty. Very attentive, polite, personable staff. I mentioned when booking that it was a special birthday, and they kindly brought a dessert with lit candle as a surprise. The food was fabulous, and the prosecco & wine excellent.

The food was ok, of I paid full price it would be disappointing. The staff was barely around, we asked on waiter for our bill because we couldn't find ours and they told us they weren't our waiter. Same with other questions we had. It's a cute place but I wouldn't pay to go there again

Overall, the experience was enjoyable. Check-in, however, was very confused and the receptionist not at all friendly. Our delightful waiter compensated for this and we enjoyed how he explained the food. Unfortunately, it was sub-par compared to other tea-rooms with similar fare and prices. The ambience of the room was pleasant but too public for us to enjoy as we were seated off the main lobby of the hotel was was very busy.

The rooms furthest from the lobby are best. The front room is crowded, noisy and too close to the reception area of the hotel to be comfortable. Our table was too small for all the utensils and the table-ware was poor. Waiter service was excellent but the food sub-par compared to similar rooms.

My husband and I have been to Windsor Arms before for high tea and we had enjoyed it so much we wanted to go back. I saw the Travelzoo deal and took advantage of that. We went with friends this time. It was the first time for our friends. They had been to high tea in England so were able to compare. The calibre of food was different. My husband and I feel that the taste of the food just wasn’t the same as before. Not sure what it was but it was just “ok” and not anything to write home about. We were full and the best part about High tea were the scones.

Had a great afternoon tea. They easily accommodated a change and the experience was great. They give you a bill at the end for tax and tip … which really doesn’t make sense they way they display it on your receipt but worked out great when I got home. I was worried he didnt get enough tip … but the math worked out.

The only issue was some confusion in booking, where were booked into the Gatsby instead of the Tea Room. But the staff quickly rectified it. The room was very beautiful and the tea and food was scrumptious.

It is a lovely room, but there was a Yom Kipper service with religious singing, going on. Since there is no door to be closed to the Green Room nor a proper door to where the service was taking place , just curtains , the sound was obvious and spoiled the atmosphere for a good part of our time there.
Had I known , I would have booked a different day.

The Tea room is just off the ( beautifu ) lobby , which is small, as is the hall/conference center , where the service took place. We where two solo adults. Value for the money ??? Religious singing spoiled it a bit, as I mentioned above. Nice experience as a treat but would not have gone if it wasn't for the travelzoo coupon.

The only ‘hiccup’ was the girl working the reception - she made several incorrect statements about the Travelzoo voucher. First saying it was just a reserved booking and we’d need to pay at the end. Then she went to inquire further when we told her that was wrong and she then said we’d have to pay $32 + hst + tip … then she had to get someone else to help as I said that wasn’t the agreement and finally another staff member came who said only hst and tip would be required ( additional $32). It was not very pleasant to have to be arguing over something that was supposed to be already arranged. Other than that it was a pleasant experience.

Food was very disappointing from the sandwich/bread selection to the sweets. 3 of the 4 sweets were mousse like with gelatin, gummy and disgusting. Expected elegance, delivered mediocre.
Automatic gratuity of $50.00+, excessive for afternoon tea and the service was not outstanding
Won’t be going back — other high end hotels in the area that are better than what the Windsor Arms offered to TravelZoo guests.
