We had breakfast in the two little rooms just inside the main entrance, Very enjoyable. The windows at the front could do with a cleaning to let more sunshine in.

The stay was spectacular, new renovations and the bar addition to the Mossop was a delight. The room had white light and can use a more yellow tone to set the mood.

We were 4 senior ladies from rural eastern Ontario, needing a 'night on the town'. We had a great time on our City of Toronto adventure, and the Hotel Victoria was our launching pad. It makes so much sense for us to park in Oshawa and take the Go train in to Union. The hotel is an easy walk from there to the front door, where we found a welcoming, fun and easy atmosphere and professional, friendly staff. Our rooms were comfortable and clean, and we appreciated the separate beds....very clever in our opinion, as not all travellers are couples.
Other Comments
The history of this unique hotel is evident in the decor and layout of the hotel. The rooms are small, fairly basic, and a little dark, due to the skyrise buildings build beside it. However, as I said, they are comfortable and you cannot beat the location for enjoying downtown Toronto. The breakfast was good and interesting with it's Lebanese type menu, and great coffee. Thank you Travelzoo for offering this opportunity to experience this special hotel including the food discount. We will recommend this place to others for sure!

Staff were amazing and so helpful. Room a little sparse and the lighting too dark. Beds were very comfortable.

Staff were pleasant, the coffee and pastries in the breakfast bar were really good.
Other Comments
The hotel has just reopened so we had a sense that they were still fine tuning the rooms, for example our room consisted of only the bed and desk with a footstool as a desk seat. No chairs for reading and no lamps, just an overhead light which was dull. Minimal furnishings.

Didn’t seem to be aware of the $20 drink voucher as part of the Travelzoo offer. Had to show them the email confirmation. Then had trouble taking it off the bar bill - trying to reprogram the cash register. Ended up not charging for the drinks at all which was a good fix but just took so long

Staff was wonderful. Breakfast delicious and very different. Room was a bit small, as was the washroom space. Room could have used a chair and a coffee maker. But overall, an excellent stay.

Unbeatable location for arrivals by train. Rooms are a bit spartan; a chair and perhaps a second luggage rack would help. Rooms are clean but could use better soundproofing.

Travelled with my elderly mother. Very smooth check in and check out. Comfortable, updated, clean room. Great location, close to public transit.
