The Deal

For $95, spend an afternoon on the open water off Oahu with a fishing, whale- and turtle-watching tour from Island Watersports Hawaii. This 2-hour adventure combo, which regularly costs $198, includes a snack, bottled water and use of fishing gear.

Upon arrival to the marina, check in at the office and board the boat, where you will meet your captain. After leaving the harbor, watch as the boat passes Hanauma Bay, one of the most famous and picturesque snorkel sites on the island. Your captain will point out such scenic landmarks as Diamond Head crater and Koko crater, which is said to resemble a giant whale. As you continue trolling for fish, keep an eye out for humpback whales and giant sea turtles in the canyons of turtle crater.

As the tour passes the coastline of Oahu, captains point out "Hawaii Five-0" filming grounds and celebrity homes, as well as the breathtaking Koolau mountain range. The scenery is especially lush and tropical this time of year.
