The Deal

With this Local Deal, Travelzoo subscribers can take a break from city life and spend an afternoon at White Silo Farm & Winery, a 17-acre retreat that's less than 70 miles outside Manhattan in Sherman, Conn. For $49, two people receive wine tastings, lunch and a winery tour, normally up to $109.

The farm opens at 11 a.m. every Saturday and Sunday, and guests can stay as long as they'd like. This unique experience for two includes:

• Two flights of four wines, which may include dry and semisweet varieties

• Two gourmet picnic lunches that may include grilled chicken, salad, vegetables, nuts, cheeses and desserts

• A private tour of the winery

• Two glasses of sparkling wine paired with Guittard chocolates

• Two souvenir glasses

• A seasonal item from the farm to take home, such as pick-your-own organic berries (berry season is typically late August to mid-October), asparagus or rhubarb, or a jar of farm-made mustard or jam selected by White Silo

Vouchers can be redeemed starting Saturday, April 14, through Dec. 23, 2012. Each voucher is valid for 2 people and must be used in 1 visit. Valid on Saturdays and Sundays only. This deal is valid on Memorial Day weekend (May 28) and July 4 weekend (June 30 and July 1-2). Not valid Aug. 1 - Oct. 30.
