The Deal

Aleyda's Tex-Mex Restaurant has been dishing out Mexican-Texan fusion dishes for more than 30 years, and The Miami Herald commends the neighborhood gem for its huge portions and friendly service. For $35, Travelzoo subscribers can enjoy a dinner for two with margaritas at this West Palm favorite, regularly $75.

Decorated with bright-colored pottery, large Mexican serape blankets and ornate  stained-glass windows, Aleyda's cuisine "is as vibrant and colorful as the festive surroundings," according to 10Best.com. Owner Aleyda Cardona herself is likely to greet you at the door. With this deal, select anything from the extensive menu:

• Any appetizer to share, such as any of the seven specialty quesadillas, eight nacho dishes or fresh guacamole with corn chips

• Any two entrees, with Mexican staples such as lobster and shrimp fajitas or the "crusty, gooey, cheesy, meaty" chimichangas -- one of the Broward-Palm Beach New Times' top 100 favorite dishes; and Texas-inspired dishes like the 16-ounce T-bone steak or BBQ baby back ribs
