The Deal

For $35, two people can experience Kon Tiki at the Tahitian Inn, which has garnered positive reviews from the St. Petersburg Times, Creative Loafing and Metromix since opening last year. Regularly up to $79, this deal gives diners full reign of the restaurant's new dinner menu, including the filet and lobster tail entree as well as daily specials.

Take a seat in the dining room that Metromix calls "stylish" and "modern" and select any appetizer to share, two entrees and a dessert from the island-inspired menu. For example, this dinner for two could include:

• Kon Viche (shrimp, conch, scallop and crab ceviche) or short rib nachos to start

• Filet and lobster tail, and daily specials like prime rib with garlic mashed potatoes on Saturdays
