$19 - Full-Day Float Trip down the Meramec for 2, Reg. $45

The Deal

St. Louis Magazine praises the pretty scenery and gentle pace of the Meramec River, and with this exclusive Local Deal, groups of up to six can take a relaxing float trip down the spring-fed waters. These trips from Twin Rivers Canoe Rentals, starting at $19 for two canoeists, run six to nine miles and offer fantastic fishing as well as the chance to view wildlife like foxes, wild turkeys and bald eagles.

Twin Rivers is the closest float trip to St. Louis, located just 45 minutes west of downtown near Eureka. Three deals are available:

• For $19, receive a canoe rental and float trip for two people, regularly up to $45

• Add another person and make it a three-man float trip for $29, regularly $60

• For $59, plan a group or family trip in a six-man raft, regularly as much as $120 (valid Tuesday-Friday)

Patrons can bring their own cooler on each of these trips, so pack a lunch and some drinks and plan to stop for a midday meal on one of the river's many sandbars. Each float trip includes all necessary gear, including life jackets and shuttle transportation to the launch sites.

Vouchers can be redeemed starting Tuesday, March 27, through Sept. 1, 2012. Must make reservation. Reservations are dependent on availability and weather conditions. Limit 1 per person, but 2 additional may be purchased as gifts. Must sign release. Customers under 18 must have a signed release from a parent our guardian. Limit 1 voucher per visit. Coolers are welcome, but glass bottles cannot be brought on the river, nor can Styrofoam coolers. Boats must be off the water by 7 p.m. Tax and gratuity are not included.
