Our Captain Paul

It is best to research before you go so that you choose the best time for fishing. It was frustrating to get on the boat only to realize mid July wasn't the best time. Apparently, August is so I wish someone would have told me that when booking....because I did ask. Also, there were 7 people on the boat which made it a bit too cozy (small boat) and most people did not have the opportunity to fish.

Sky was great and made the whole experience fun.

We booked a salmon fishing trip and called a day ahead to confirm but it wasn't until we arrived the day of the trip that we were told that salmon weren't really running yet. He said the salmon were in one area and they had caught one or two in a different area. He took us to the different area where they had caught one or two and of course we didn't catch anything. Then about an hour into our trip he told us that since the other people who were supposed to be on our trip didn't show our trip was going to be shortened to only three hours. I didn't think it was appropriate that we were penalized because of no shows. They also should have been up front that salmon weren't really running when we called to confirm a day ahead - we could have gone crabbing with them instead.

Our guide was a nice guy and the weather was good

Office is at a great setting. The place is nice. Staff is very friendly. Being out on the water is fun no matter what. Price is reasonable.

First, the destination was changed. For a weather related reason supposedly, but it was a letdown relative to expectations. There should a warning about such possible change in the description of the kayaking tour. Second, the guide (Ryan) was pretty inexperienced and did not do a good job at showing us around and explaining much. He wasn't professional enough in his manners. Third, we waited for an hour nearly for the van to pick us up on the way back. Poor organization.
