The Deal

Experience a five-course dinner at ONYX restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village, which has a "very good to excellent" (22) rating for food from Zagat and won an OpenTable Diners' Choice Award for being "Fit for Foodies." For $89, two people can dine on "creative, flavorful" Japanese fare with a sake flight each, regularly $175.

The restaurant's decor -- rated "extraordinary" (27) by Zagat -- features backlit walls of semi-precious stones (including the restaurant's namesake) and authentic accents like bamboo floors and silk lanterns. This dinner begins with vegetable chips with tofu cream dip and continues with:


Tea Pot Soup with fall "Eringi" mushroom
Baja shrimp, ginkgo nuts, mitsuba

Traditional "Chirashi" sushi
variety of seafood, myoga, yuzu

Soy-glazed Chilean sea bass
green papaya and hearts of palm salad

"Sumi-Yaki" beef tenderloin
miso foie gras, Daikon, soy-garlic jus

Almond tofu
chef's choice of seasonal fruits


This meal also includes a sake flight with a tasting of four different sakes: Chiyomusubi, Kaori, Yume Akari and Ohyama.
