The Deal

This month, San Diego Opera is performing Rossini's "The Barber of Seville," and tickets are now 50% off for the famous comic opera about Figaro, the barber by day and matchmaker by night.

Discounted tickets are available for performances on Tuesday, April 24 at 7 p.m., and Friday, April 27 at 8 p.m. at the Civic Theatre, in the following seats:

• Preferred Balcony ... $50 (reg. $100)
• Premier Balcony ... $60 (reg. $120)
• Orchestra, Dress Circle and Mezzanine ... $65 (reg. $130)
• Preferred Dress Circle, Preferred Mezzanine and Upper Loge ... $80 (reg. $160)
• Preferred Orchestra and Lower Loge ... $100 (reg. $200)

Note: Tickets to the performance on Saturday, April 21, at 7 p.m. are also 25% off, $75-$187 (regularly $100-$250).

About the Opera: The barber Figaro uses his matchmaking talents to set up the Count with the beautiful Rosina. However, her guardian keeps her locked up with the intent to marry her himself.
