With brightly colored decor and a fresh take on traditional sushi favorites, Sushi Groove on Highland Avenue is grabbing attention from the likes of the Salt Lake Tribune for creating a "new sushi dining experience." For $32, two can enjoy a four-course dinner at this hip new sushi spot in Sugar House, regularly up to $65.75.

- Start with two miso soups

- Then, choose any starter or salad to share, such as pork or vegetable gyoza or ceviche

- Select any three sushi rolls, for example the White Mars (tempura shrimp and spicy mayo topped with crab, marlin, avocado and eel sauce) or the Coco Loco (coconut shrimp and avocado topped with spicy tuna, mango, albacore and roasted serrano ponzu)

- Finish your meal with any daily special dessert to share, such as apple dumplings or tempura fried Oreos

Sushi Groove, which opened last year, earns an impressive 94% "like" rating on Urbanspoon and is a "new gem" according to Gastronomic Salt Lake City. Diners can groove to live DJs on Tuesdays and Fridays, as well as a jazz band on Wednesdays. The restaurant's vibrant decor also features the works of local Utah artists.
