The Deal

Z Chop Haus opened June 15 inside the Zermatt Resort, a property that was a Best of State medal winner for 2007-2010. For $69, reserve a table for two and savor a steak and seafood dinner that regularly costs $120.

Located an hour's drive southwest of the airport, Zermatt is a Swiss-inspired retreat nestled in Wasatch Mountain State Park. Dinner in this unique setting, ideal for ski season, includes:

• Any two appetizers or salads, such as the crab cake with lobster sauce and Swiss onion soup

• Two steak or seafood entrees (up to $44 each), including the 14-ounce, 21-day dry-aged rib eye and the lobster ditalini pasta with Cantal cheese (or, instead of the two entree selections, order one Chateaubriand for the table)

• Any two side dishes, such as jumbo grilled asparagus and spatzle with spinach and tomatoes

• Any two sauces to complement the meat, such as peppercorn or bearnaise
