The Deal

Float down Class I and II rapids on the Provo River with this Local Deal from High Country Adventure. For $19 per person, regularly $39, Travelzoo subscribers can take a trip through the scenic Provo Canyon seven days a week.

During the two-hour excursion, you can decide to paddle along or sit back and take in the sights: the natural beauty of the Utah Valley and Provo Canyon, including Mount Timpanogos, Cascade Mountain, various species of birds and other wildlife, and historic train bridges. The waters are calm, making this deal perfect for those with no rafting experience. Great for groups and families, this tour runs at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Or for $35 per person, regularly $59, take a sunset rafting tour that includes a barbecue feast. This two-hour tour begins at 5 p.m. and is followed by a meal of slow-cooked ribs, roasted chicken or turkey, beef brisket, pulled pork, jalapeno beans, barbecue beans, coleslaw, rolls, baked potato casserole and green salad. Transportation from parking (3702 E. Provo Canyon Rd.) to the launch site is provided for both tours.

Vouchers can be redeemed starting Saturday, June 2, though Sept. 23, 2012. Limit 6 voucher purchases per person; 4 additional vouchers may be purchased as gifts. Reservations are required and subject to availability and weather permitting. Each raft can hold 4-7 people. Blackout dates are July 4 and 24. Riders must be 3 years old or older. Must sign waiver. The deal cannot be combined with any other offer. Tax and gratuity are not included.
