The Deal

For $45 person, regularly $100, sharpen your culinary skills in time for the holidays with a gourmet baking class at Scottsdale's Classic Cooking Academy, rated 4.5 out of 5 stars on Yelp and featured on ABC15. Two people can join this three-hour, hands-on class for $85, regularly $200, and save even more.

These classes take place on select Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and are limited to 20 students. Check the online calendar here and choose your class, such as the upcoming "Tarts" session in which you'll learn how to make variations like quiche, blueberry, key lime and apricot almond. Other options include gingerbread houses, holiday cookies and edible gifts.

This deal is also available for the gourmet pizza classes, from which you'll gain a complete understanding of pizza dough and sauce in order to make homemade pizza, calzones and stromboli; then dine on the results with beer and wine. Or, use it for a Monday night wine-tasting class paired with a five-course dinner.
