For $45 person, sharpen your culinary skills with a gourmet cooking course at Scottsdale's Classic Cooking Academy, rated 4.5 out of 5 stars on Yelp and featured on ABC15. After this 2.5-hour hands-on class (regularly $100), dine on your results with a three-course meal and wine pairings. Get this deal for two people for $85, regularly $200, and save even more.

These classes are offered most Friday evenings from 6:30-9 p.m and are limited to 30 students. Check the online calendar here and choose your class theme, such as the upcoming "French 101," where you'll learn how to make:

• Mini baked brie in phyllo dough

Dine on the results at the end of instruction. Each course is paired with a house wine.
