The Deal

Soar high above the Arizona landscape on a sunset or sunrise hot air balloon ride from Hot Air Expeditions, which Fodor's calls "the best ballooning in Phoenix." For $95 per person, regularly $175, this 60-minute ride offers bird's-eye views of the Sonoran Desert and includes a post-flight breakfast and glass of Champagne.

Riders will ascend several thousand feet in the air for unobstructed, 360-degree views of the desert landscape. Then, many pilots will descend as low as 400 feet, allowing passengers to spot wildlife like coyotes and roadrunners.

After an hour of airtime, passengers will touch down to a Champagne toast and breakfast catered by the acclaimed restaurant Vincent on Camelback. Selections may include quiche Lorraine, chocolate croissants, cheese and seasonal fresh fruits. Passengers will also receive a certificate to commemorate their journeys.
