The Deal

Located just steps from the ocean in downtown Laguna Beach, Zagat likes the "exotic twist" offered by Mozambique Restaurant and Coastal Lounge, with HauteLiving.com calling dinner "an unforgettable experience that is exotic and ... not to be missed." Subscribers can savor three courses with Champagne for $59, regularly up to $131.

Take a seat in the space Gayot calls "exotically decorated and inviting" and select:

• A glass each of Champagne upon arrival, like Veuve Cliquot (other wine up to $16 each may be substituted)

• Any appetizer to share like wood-grilled prawns in a peri-peri sauce that Zagat says "hits the mark" or wok-seared ahi tuna

• An entree each like the center-cut filet mignon, wood-grilled porkchop with amaretto-cherry sauce or the Durban curry, a dish the OC Weekly said "will warm you up wherever you may be" (up to $38 each)

• A dessert like Portuguese hot butter pudding caramelized with brandy or a double chocolate brownie with Belgian chocolate sauce

Diners can book a table for four and save even more -- two couples can dine for $115, regularly $262. Also available with this deal is the opportunity to ride in style, with a complimentary trip to and from dinner in Mozambique's own limousine.
