The Deal

Owner and executive chef of Costa Mesa's top-rated organic eatery 118 Degrees, Jenny Ross is a health food pioneer and cookbook author with a product line sold at stores nationwide. With this exclusive deal, Travelzoo subscribers can take any two-hour cooking class with the chef for $35 per person, regularly $70, and learn how to prepare healthy meals in the new year.

Each month offers a different theme (see schedule for more information) -- choose from classes like Spanish Cuisine, Tapas Plates and seasonal fare.

In each class, you'll prepare and eat a three-course meal like the following Valentine's Dinner menu for February: a hearts-on-fire baby greens salad, Alfredo pasta with a three-mushroom marinade and sweet basil bisque, and raspberry tortes. Classes include all cooking supplies and ingredients, as well as complimentary coffee, tea or iced tea. You can also get an optional organic wine pairing for $20, paid directly to the merchant. Leave with a copy of Jenny Ross' cookbook, "Raw Basics," and a new set of skills.

Vouchers can be redeemed starting the date of the next available class, through Dec. 31, 2013. Reservations required at least 48 hours in advance; please call 714-754-0718. Classes may fill up so early booking is suggested. Classes begin in January and are held at 6:30-8:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month and 6-8 p.m. on the third Sunday of the month. Check here for class schedule and monthly theme. Class menus are posted every 3 months. Limit 2 voucher purchases per person; 2 additional vouchers may be purchased as gifts. Limit 50 students per class. Voucher is subject to forfeiture if you cancel or reschedule your reservation with less than 48 hours' notice. Not valid on products. If the menu includes alcohol, you must be of legal drinking age to consume it. Tax and gratuity, if applicable, are not included. This deal cannot be combined with any other offer.
