The Deal

"Off the beaten path" of Temecula's De Portola Road, Keyways Vineyard & Winery is "not to be missed," according to American Winery Guide. Established in 1989, the 13-acre property was one of Temecula Valley Wine Country's founding wineries. Visit the historic vineyard, rated 4 stars on TripAdvisor, for a tour, wine class, tastings and food pairings for $29 per person (a $100 value).

Take in the "inviting and romantic setting" of the vineyard (Touring & Tasting) with the following 2.5-hour package:

• A sommelier-led tour and wine appreciation class: tour the vineyard, production and estate home (when available) and learn about the wine-making process, blending, aging, food pairing, palate building and proper tasting technique

• 12 or more tastings (1-ounce pours) from a menu of 19 wines, including award-winning Rhone blends like the Valley Cuvee du Sud and Valley Cuvee du Nord, as well as the just-released 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon and rare 2008 Charbono (only 47 acres of this varietal are planted in the entire state of California)

• A souvenir wine glass to take home
