The Deal

Pacific Symphony will perform a wide range of concerts this spring -- including the music of Beethoven and Duke Ellington -- and subscribers can now save 50% on tickets to select shows at Segerstrom Concert Hall. Tickets start at $17.50, regularly $35, for performances through May 18.

Tickets are 50% off regular prices and range from $17.50-$92.50 (reg. $35-$185) for the following concerts:

"Beethoven's Fifth" -- April 4-6 at 8 p.m.
Showcasing one of the most famous pieces of music in history, "Beethoven's Fifth" will feature guest conductor Mei-Ann Chen. The concert will also feature works by Chinese composers: Huang's "Saibei Dance" and Zhanhao/Gang's "Butterfly Lovers' Concerto."

"Saint-Saens' Organ Symphony" -- May 2-4 at 8 p.m.
Highlighting the cathedral-like sounds of the William J. Gillespie Concert Organ, "Saint-Saens' Organ Symphony" includes virtuoso keyboard passages by Grammy-winning organist Paul Jacobs. The concert will also feature violinist Tianwa Yang, called "the most important violinist to come on the scene in many a year." (Detroit News)

"Duke Ellington Orchestra" -- May 16-18 at 8 p.m.
Joining the Pacific Symphony for these performances, the Duke Ellington Orchestra will celebrate its namesake composer -- one of the most influential jazz composers of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Note: There are a limited amount of discounted tickets available for $12.50 (reg. $25). Many of the lower priced tickets can be found in Promenade Circle, Grand Tier and Choral Terrace.
