Local food blog Jersey Bites discovered Tomato Pie of Morristown through a New York Times review that "had [their] attention immediately" with talks of its nontraditional-shaped pies that are made with fresh-ground tomatoes instead of traditional sauce. For $25, savor an Italian dinner with drinks for two, regularly $60.

This deal for two diners includes:

• A shared appetizer, like fried calamari, fried rice balls topped with "outrageously good homemade tomato sauce" (Jersey Bites) or the salumi platter with assorted cured meats, imported cheeses, apricot mostarda and bread (up to $15.95)

• Two entrees, with selections like grilled pork medallions with a balsamic herb oil reduction; grilled eight-ounce skirt steak with garlic herb fries and house-made ketchup; and the signature tomato pies with your choice of toppings (up to $19.95 each)
