The Deal

Open for over 20 years, Markers Restaurant has been serving classic American fare prepared by executive chef Stephen Parker, who trained under James Beard-praised chef, Michael Fiore. With this exclusive Local Deal, Travelzoo subscribers can savor a steak and seafood dinner with a bottle of wine on the Jersey City waterfront for $39, regularly $86.

When we dined here, we loved the freshness and impressive presentation of each course. Take a seat in the dining room or dine alfresco on the patio for an experience for two that includes:

• One appetizer to share, such as veal, pork and beef meatballs served with grilled rustic bread; Thai calamari topped with scallions and pineapple; or Markers appetizer combination (spicy buffalo wings, lemon grass dumpling and spinach and artichoke dip)

• Two entrees, like pan-roasted mahi mahi with risotto cake and roasted vegetables; shrimp scampi linguine with artichoke hearts and sun-dried tomatoes; or grilled NY strip steak with roasted Parisian carrots and whipped mashed potatoes

• One bottle of red or white wine with selections including Vista Point Merlot, Cabernet, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and White Zinfandel
