The Deal

Joke Joint Comedy Club in Lilydale hosts up-and-coming comics in the former Diamond Jim's Supper Club space, where Bob Hope and Rosemary Clooney once graced the stage while showgirls perched on swings overhead, according to Joke Joint owner Ken Reed. With this Local Deal, Travelzoo subscribers receive admission for two plus a bucket of six beers, for $29, regularly $55.

Reed says he attracts the "funniest people you've never heard of," and the Star Tribune calls the space "perfectly suited for comedy" with an "intimate feel," even with its 30-foot ceilings. The bucket of beers includes both domestic and premium bottles, like Summit Pale Ale and Fat Tire.

Or for $34, two people can get VIP seats for any upcoming show and receive a bottle of sparkling wine, regularly $68. Check the club's calendar for upcoming shows.
