The 8,000-square-foot museum's 12,000 artifacts make up one of the country's most comprehensive collections of nuclear history. See interactive and educational displays that track the technology and science of atomic bombs, radiation and their testing both in the atmosphere and underground. One of the museum's highlights, a motion simulator theater, allows guests to experience a simulated atmospheric bomb blast.

Nevada was the primary testing site for the country's nuclear weapons from 1951 to 1992. One of only 37 national museums, the National Atomic Testing Museum is affiliated with The Smithsonian Institution.
