Zagat says chef/owner Troy Guard, named a great regional chef of America by the James Beard foundation, is a "magician in the kitchen." For $49, Travelzoo subscribers can experience Guard's continental social cuisine with a four-course dinner for two, regularly $101.

Exposed red brick walls, steel-colored tables and red leather booths create the perfect ambience to complement the colorful cuisine. Select from the "phenomenal" menu, which Zagat gives a "very good to excellent" rating (25):

• Any one Social Beginning, such as Kobe beef sliders or caramelized butterfish

• Any two Fresh Greens. such as the lemon balm salad or burratta cheese salad

• Any two Principal Plates, such as the wild Coho salmon with cured boar and English peas or the Colorado bison with Olathe farm corn, bacon and asparagus

• Any one Sweet, such as the thin mint chocolate cake with sweet corn anglaise or Colorado fruit shortcake with basil cream sauce
