The Deal

Westword praises the "classic chophouse" menu at Prime Steakhouse downtown, which dry ages all of its prime beef in-house before grilling it over a fire fed with live hickory logs. For $69, regularly $153, two can enjoy a four-course dinner -- including an option for a filet and lobster tail -- at this restaurant that earns a 4-star rating from OpenTable users.

Start with a first course of artisan cheese and charcuterie selections curated by the chef, and then select two of the following for each course:

Soup and Salad Course:
• Cucumber, tomato, mozzarella and onion salad with a fresh-squeezed lemon vinaigrette
• The Prime Wedge salad with Roquefort cheese, Roma tomatoes, bacon and a blue cheese dressing
• French onion soup topped with toasted brioche and Gruyere
• Lobster bisque with sherry and chives

Entree Course:
• A nine-ounce filet mignon topped with Roquefort cheese and 12-year aged balsamic demiglace
• Blackened pork chops
• Filet mignon paired with a Maine lobster tail
• Seared tuna steak with a lemon beurre blanc sauce and chilled cucumber salad
• Lump crab cakes served with lemon tartar sauce

Shared Sides:
Select any two from the regular sides menu, including baked or sweet potatoes, steamed or grilled asparagus, creamed or sauteed spinach, or green chile mac n' cheese

Dessert Course:
• New York Cheesecake with strawberry glaze
• Charlotte with ladyfingers, chocolate mousse, orange Bavarian creme and chocolate curls
• Creme brulee with fresh berries
