The Deal

Get your adrenaline pumping as you loop around Pikes Peak International Raceway in a real race car. With this $199 Local Deal for the Rusty Wallace Racing Experience, Travelzoo subscribers will learn to drive a real race car stock car before taking the wheel at this pro track just south of Colorado Springs. This 2.5-hour "Shootout" package saves $200 on the regular price.

The deal gives Travelzoo subscribers an authentic racing experience, from the custom Oakley driver's suit to passing competitors on the track. You'll begin with a 45-minute classroom orientation with a professional instructor, then hop in the driver's seat for a 12-lap race on the one-mile track. Get a feel for the vehicle while following the pace car for a couple warmup laps before zooming around the speedway.

Or, for $64, try the one-hour "Shotgun Ride-Along" package, which includes a four-lap qualifying run in a stock car with a professional at the wheel. This experience regularly costs $129.

Races take place June 8; Aug. 11-12, 17-19; and Sept. 29-30. Online reservations are required; click here to book a race. If more race dates are added to the schedule, you can select any of them, but it must be reserved by Aug. 23, 2012. Vouchers can be redeemed 24 hours after purchase. Not valid on major holidays. Drivers must be at least 5 feet tall and 100 pounds and under 300 pounds and 6 feet 7 inches tall. Riders must be at least 5 feet tall and 100 pounds. Drivers must be 18 years old or older with a valid driver's license. For riders under 18 years old, parental consent is required. Reservations are subject to availability, weather and track conditions. This deal cannot be combined with any other offer. This voucher must be used in 1 visit. Tax is not included. Those under the age of 14 cannot participate in the Ride-Along experience.
