The Deal

"Top Chef" contestant Tiffany Derry, voted Fan Favorite on the seventh season of Bravo’s hit reality show, helms attractive Uptown newcomer Private Social, which The Dallas Morning News just awarded a 4-star rating. With this exclusive Local Deal for $65, regularly $126, two people can dine on Derry’s cuisine (sorry, Padma and Tom won’t be joining you at the table).

For $125 regularly $252, four people can get the same dinner and save even more.

The menu showcases Derry's Beaumont roots, with innovative Southern dishes, as well as her experience with Asian flavors and seafood, which she picked up working at Go Fish Ocean Club in North Dallas. Select:

• Any two appetizers, soups or salads, like the Surf n' Turf Sushi Roll with spicy tuna, torched beef and truffle; or the Top Chef Pork Buns with pickled slaw and fresh herbs, which the Star-Telegram says are "similar to the ones served at the famed Momofuku in New York"

• Two entrees, such as pan-seared scallops with Texas creamed corn, lobster and basil; or duck fat-fried chicken with hot pepper sauce and braised greens (up to $36 each)
